Default Relocating ECM sure is a pain in the ***..

So I bought my solo springer seat (woohoo), setting that up was the easy part, relocating the ECM was a pain, not so much relocating the ECM itself but messing with all those wires, I put the ECM on the side of the battery, all those wires in there are such a tight fit I feel like I"m gonna rip something, I'm more concerned about those wires in the long run with all the vibration and such.. is this normal?

you'll be fine... but be sure to use zip cable tie or something similar to secure the battery cover in place... don't trust the stock latching mechanism..

Yeah I've been reading a few threads about relocating the ECM and they all say the same thing, I also put a whole bunch of velcro on the side of the battery so it stays firm

Yeah, but the satisfaction you're going to have once you've got it all buttoned up is pretty fvckin' cool.

Hey to anyone who has done this, I had a question, you know how theres two wires running to the Positive charge? one is obviously for the battery but the other one I think is just there so its grounded?? would it be much of an issue to move this cable and place it elsewhere to make more room? Just wondering what other people have done..

check where it leads to...most probable is for a 30 or 40 amp fuse

Look up the thread My Harley Biography. Thats my thread of all the Mods I have done. In Page 9 I posted up where I put my ECU and how I ran the wires etc. Looks great, Wires are safe and covered. Might be an idea for some of ya'll. Since the pictures, I made a Thick Leather seat pan over the area where the wires and such are. Like i said just an idea.
