Can't Get Muffler Off, Need help

so, i got my new slip-ons today and i can't get my old ones off. i have taken all the bolts out, and i just can't get it off. Any tricks? should i take the headers off, will that make it easier?

I had to take a screwdriver and put it in the muffler slits and spread them a little to get them off.

Overtighten

Someone has way overtighten them and may have put a u-shape ring around keeping it from slideing off. Have someone hold on handlebars and grab it on end with a large lid gripper and while pulling back carefully move it up and down and in and out. It will come out of there then.
