Default opinions on h bars for wifes 1200???????

i ride a kawi 900 cruiser with the wide handlebars. i notice the 1200 xl c i bought for the wife has a much shorter/narrower(?) stance on the bars which i have no problem with. BUT i wonder -since this is my wifes first bike and she's just learning to ride if a diff set of bars on this might be easier for her to master/ more comfy-reassuring?

any thoughts or suggestions???

I had the HD Pullback bars for the 1200C on mine. It widened the bars and brought them back to me an inch or so. I liked them much better and felt a lot more comfortable.

Personally, I think it is better to learn with short straight bars to be able to easily grasp the full concept of counter steering. But what do I know. Have her go with whatever makes her feel comfortable. I don't like bars that turn my hands any direction besides knuckles straight forward. It makes turning more difficult.

I think the stock buck horn bars are easy to handle. I still think it is much much easier to learn to ride on a sport bike then a sportster. I am sure many disagree. I have ridden a friends YZF600R and it is much lighter and much easier to control.

Recableing was necessary. But I really did like those bars.
