99 1200 Sportster Mufflers
These Mufflers are like new.. I guess it had screaming Eagles that he took off and put the Stock one on from the Attic.. These are Whisper Quiet.. Unreal.
can I mod them to increase the sound about 50% without ruining the Great sound.. I can't afford aftermarket eXhaust at the present time.. I hate when people in the left lane try to take me to the Right Curb.... Thanks for any advice.. I have not looked inside for a baffle blocking the center of the pipe. If there is one and I remove it, that make Help enough.. Sorry Pics will follow

I have mufflers that will fit it.Let me know if you want to buy them.Already reworked.May be more than 50% I don't know.You may want to keep a unaltered set since noise laws are getting worse.Just my opinion though.I hear bikes through my bedroom window with it closed.Harleys don't really bother me but a crotch rocket at 2-3 am sounding like a bees nest getting ready to explode irritates me.I'm a 1/2 mile away from that road.

Thanks guy the new law in Florida will be that the Factory printed stuff must be on the Muffler ... I don't know if they will use the billy Club to check but a long screw from the back side puts a stop to that..

Ok ! I took them off and looked inside I found a 1 1/2 Holesaw and a 12 inch extension for my drill. used a little cutting oil and removed the caps... Can't hear what I did because of the tank being off for Paint.. But. having run straight's before this possible will be a improvement over them..

mufflers
trust me those are going to be real loud ... I bought a used 2005 883 and that is what the previous owner did to the mufflers ... the neighbors hate them ... and already a cop has been by ... luckily I was working on them and could prove it having made up some new inserts from some stainless strainer baskets for sinks I found at Lowe's ... he could see I was actually putting them in and testing them ... I certainly wasn't going to buy replacement pipes ... trust me the whole neighbor hood will know when you are around ...

I live in a apartment complex and there are 4 Harleys close by.. Loud.. 5 should not make much difference .. I know how to keep the sound down.. NO one on earth can make me believe Loud Pipes don't save Lives.. I had a Whisper quiet Honda CBR 1000 and was forced to the Curb by cages twice.. Never had this problem with louder pipes...
