Default Spring seat for 48

Where does everyone get these seats? Is it a whole kit or just pop off stock and replace?

thanks

There are thousands of them. The HD one you can get through the dealer has a pan that bolts on, and the seat attaches to it. You can easily switch between different seats for different uses.

I found a ton of them on ebay as well.

I will be getting the one most easily modified for my needs, as well as replacing the springs with something that has a different compression resistance rate and feel.

Thanks for the reply. What seat does this person have? Are they supposed to be more comfortable or just for looks? I mean I like the way they look but don't want to be totally uncomfortable.

Also, what exhaust does this bike have?

Found this somewhere just can't remember where.

The seat is HD Spring Seat your local dealer will have it in black or tan. The exhaust looks like Rush slip-ons or Cycle Shack slip-ons.

Mine took some getting used too but now I love it...the HD spring seat is much more comfortable than the stock 48 seat by a mile. I actually removed the springs and installed rubber bumpers to lower it and to keep from sliding forward when braking.

^^x2. Dont get me wrong its not the best thing in the world but it's tons better than the stock seat and I found the springs(well rubber stoppers now) helped absorb some of the bumps from the stock shocks.

I have the hd spring seat and just got off back to back 400 mile rides and felt great!
keep in mind i'm missing 3 discs in my neck(fused c-3 to c-7, 4 inch titanium strip,3 spacers, and 8 screws) 45 min after getting home I thought"I can still get an hour or so in on my Yamaha FZ1"(the FZ1 is a bike all of you should experience once,ok twice. sorry back to the seat. the seat is firm, roomy(is that a word?, allows you to slide your **** around a bit)and allows you to opener her up without sliding off the seat. i could'nt be happier(can't wait for my next road trip). note:stopping every 70-80 miles to fill probley did'nt hurt and the fact that i have avon mkII tires onto help soak up some bumps while allowing a little extra ground clearance(see pic of bike under see your 48's page 53?). hope it helps
