+1...I do it on Sportsters, FXR's, Roadkings, pretty much every outboard shocked swinger. Just part of the deal when you articulate a suspension more than it's designed.

Thanks for the input. I chose them because they were very low and seemed to work on other bikes of the same vintage

I'm now looking at just plain struts or Progressive shocks...depending on what route I wanna take.

My current setup with that problem of shocks hitting the rail feels like I don't have shocks already lol!
