I switched my QD windshield from an 18" to a 14" (found one on craigslist for $50 - just the 'glass'), added Softail lowers, the buffeting is cut way down.

The problem with HD wind walls as i like to call them is they have virtually no adjustability. I have the Splitfire adjusted so that the wind hits around the top of the shoulders and helmet is virtually in clean air with no wind pressure at all on the torso. I have the windshield tilted back past fork angle. HD has alot of great designs but unfortunately windshields are not one of them. I get no buffeting at all with this screen. HD's best design is the cafe style 1/4 fairing.
