Does anyone else that wear eyeglasses and a full face helment fog up in the cold weather? And what is your remedy?
I have tried the Rain X no fog stuff, it does'nt work. I also have a fleece lined leather bandana that I put over my nose and mouth, but
my breath sneaks out and fogs me up. Red lights suck because i have to take short breaths or hold my breath.
But while i'm movin' it's bearable.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.....or any links to find products that would help.
I assume you're wearing a full-face helmet with a shield from your problem description. I wear sunglasses during the day and keep my shield open a "crack" and it eliminates the fogging for me in cold weather...
Sorry I didn't explain in detail......I tried that, and no luck. I do keep it cracked while moving and it's bearable.
I do open it all the way at stops but that doesn't help. I think I found some stuff online that might work. I'll give it a whirl.
Still open for ideas though.
Pledge or some other anti-fog spray on the lenses and shield.
I am bald, and I asked other hairless riders about problems.
It seems that you get less airflow when you don't have the hair creating space between you and your helmet and this causes extra fogging.
Not sure if you have hair or not, but the anti-fog makes my problem non-existent.
White not perfumed bar soap. Take a towel or rag and the dry bar soap, rub towel over soap then on lenses and somehow it magically keeps stuff from froggin up. True story, I am not pulling your pecker here.
