I just bought one of these shift lights for cheap, which is apparently a discontinued HD item, but I cant find a mounting bracket for it anywhere for a 2004+ 1200c,
Do you think I can get one from a dealer? I probably just get the dakota digital when I can save the money, an avoid all this BS, it would be alot easie to install anyway.

Sorry I can't help with the bracket but I am curious...what do you need that for in the first place?
cause it was cheap,
I just figured out what'll i'll do, forget the mounting plate, I'll just get the housing and make a simple metal block with a curve on top to mount it on top the dummy lights, should look better than the plae anyway.

What does that thing do? Is it just a vacuum guage?
I'm not even sure what the needle does but it's all electronic, I guess it sort of works like a tach, I just know it has a shift light on the right side (well I think it does). When I bought it I though the "S" on the right was an "8" thinking it was like a mini tach, but it's an "S" for shft,
They can be gotten for pretty cheap on Ebay if you look around. Believe me, I never would have paid $189.95 for it from HD as they retailed for. The New HD tachs all have shift lights now making this outdated.

I found the correct bracket for a XL1200C, it is Part Number 67494-04 and they are very rare but they are around. I thought about attempting to mount the gauge to the side of the speedo with a homemade piece but being a motorcycle I decided not to take the chance of having a homemade thing break or messing up the bike.
