Default Taillights complete

I removed the spacers on the the taillights and used four 5/16 x 18 nuts and a piece of 5/16 x 18 threaded rod cut into 2 small pieces to attach the lights, then I drilled out the original holes where the wires go through the outer piece of trim metal so I never have to deal with getting the plug through again, and here's how it turned out.

Looks good!

What type of handlebars are you using? They look like the low rise drag bars I'm thinking of putting on.

Beautiful bike, too.

they are sock iron bars. I would've had Roland Sands clip-ons installed but the parts guy at the dealership ordered me 49mm instead of 39mm, so I'll be another week out on those

nice looking mod, and i did the same w/ mine, except w/ 1/2" spacers. but i just cut the wires to get the plug through ,then re soldered it.

also i maintained the stock license plate holder, by using a dremel cut off wheel to remove the excess part

looks good, you should cut up the belt guard you took off and mount it to the shock bolt to suck that plate in even closer

the upper? do you have pics so I can get an idea of how to chop it up or should it be relatively straight forward once I look at it?

its really simple when you look at it
you can use front or back part i used the front because i wanted it flat, it will take more work because you have to make the whole bigger to fit the shock bolt. As opposed to the rear that already fits. Also the part around the whole if you decide to use the front part, it will need to be cut a little to allow you to rotate it down.
