Default Help Wanted! Missing Bolt - need size?
Hello all - attached is pic of where bolt fell out of shift rod linkage on '92 Sportster 1200. Anyone know if this is standard size? and if so, what size? will have to get trailered if I can't fix it today...thanks for any help!

5/16-18 x 7/8 - for an 04up bike and I think yours is the same.

He is VERY manly, mind you! He's working on the road and can't get away to do it himself, so...do you have an answer for my question or just like making comments where you don't know jack?

Easy now, just having a little fun....lol You should be able to get that at a lowes or a home depot, maybe a local hardware store.

Any decent hardware store should have it, and be sure and use some Blue Loctite on the threads when you install it.

Exact same bolt came off my bike this week. Had to limp home in 5th gear, luckily only a couple miles. 5/16 worked for mine.
