vied question
all i have is V&H slip ons .
i installed the vied . bike was running lean. plugs kinda white.
adjusted the vieds to full rich.. its been about 400 miles and plugs still look lean? how long before they start turning tan or black? or will they ever?

I don't know that I would worry too much about what the plugs look like. Does the bike run to your liking?
I installed the X14iEDs before I made any other modifications, and it made a huge difference in the performance. It even increased the sound of the anemic stock mufflers
.
Usually, it is best to balance less restrictive pipes, with a less restrictive air cleaner. So you should probably look to building or buying a bigger air cleaner assembly next.

Agree with spacecoaster, EFI bikes are sorta hard to get a read on the plugs like you can on a carbed bike.
How is it running is the question.
With the ViED's on your set up about the only way it could be running lean is if you have a leak somewhere in the exhaust or intake.

Seems to be running OK. Doesn't pop as much. Guess I though I would notice more. Plugs being white still it was worries me.

I bought the x14ied and installed it, and there was a noticeably difference... but instead of5 or 6 misfires, it now only does like one or two.... still doing it but definately better.... I am going to look into a fuel pack eventually, but for now it was a definate easy installation for a temporary fix... btw i have a 08 nightster with a Screaming eagle A/C and V&H Short shots staggered
