Can you even fart now? They ripped a hole in you the size of a football field.Does the salesman come out and polish your headlamp whever you pull up? You better hope EVERYTHING breaks on that bike to get yer $ worth.Guess P.T. Barnum said it right.
any possibilty the price he (dallastx)gave was the total of all payments and not the figures before interest on the loan??????????this would make a big difference to anyone, add up your payment x number of months you have to pay and you will fall over as well....if not, dont do this step dallastx as you may have cardiac arrest.....[&o]

That's why it would be nice to see a price breakdown for everything. How much was prep, how much for the bike, how much freight, and how much for the plan/extended warranty.
Even with all that and really high taxes I think there is still a difference of $1-2K. But that is a hell of a lot better than being $5.2K off.
When I first read your price it sounded like you paid to much. However, I sense from reading your posts that you LOVE that bike. So maybe it's worth every penny to you. There is more than just dollars to consider when you contemplate a "good" deal. My sporty is the best thing that I have ever purchased at any price. I would almost say that it changed my life. I love it like no other!! So at 10,600 out the door it was a bargain.
So don't beat yourself up over the deal, ride it enjoy it, just realize you may have to keep it an extra year or so before your equity position would allow you to trade or sell!!
Get out and ride the crap out of that thing!!
Even the Indy shops around here are kickin my butt on Name brand tires, I guessI could order them off the net but with my luck, I never know. HDWG turned me on to some good prices too. Somebody here sent me a link to Shinko tires, never heard of them but they are rated to 130mph (H rating) So I will do some real searching and thinking this Spring. The Metz's will not make it thru summer if this warm weather holds out! Worst decision I have made about the Bike is Metzelers.
Thansk for the Info,,, Bill, and others

Rusty,
You can get tires from American Motorcycle Tire for that price or less. Blackwall D402's are about 85.00 front and 95.00 rear plus 8.00 each for shipping. Most shops will mount and balance them off of the bike for 20.00 per tire. All you have to do is take them off and put them back on. Piece of cake. Last time I checked at our dealer they wanted 125.00 for the front and 175.00 for the rear plus the mount and balance.
I have ordered a lot of tires from American Motorcycle Tire and have never had a bad experience.
