I've kept my '09 XL883C bone stock except for a pair of Kuryakyn grips and a gremlin bell. Early this year I almost threw down on a set of Screaming Eagle slip ons but didn't want to pay the price and not be sure how the bike would run and sound. So I kept it stock. The darn thing runs as perfectly as any machine I've ever encountered.
But I ran up on a very nice used set of Rush slip ons on eBay for $75.00 plus $25.00 shipping. Just installed them today.
Holy smokes, what a difference. Now it sounds like a Harley. And still runs perfectly. I can feel the exhaust in my chest. Deep powerful note and not obnoxiously loud. Just right. This is the sound I was hoping for.
