Default Rear Lowering Kit Thread

So I'm new here but I've been searching for hours and I cannot seem to find a lowering kit thread. I need to find the best kit/ setup to lower my XL883C. I'm pretty short (5'6) and the only complaint I have is that my Sportster is a little tall for me. I'd like to not break the bank but I want a quality item as well. Any advice would be great, but pictures, prices and websites would be tremendous. Right now I'm looking at the LA Choppers kit solely because of their customer service. Thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to reply.

Hmmm, I suppose I'm not sure what you're looking for then. I use the DK Custom 1" blocks and I've had no issues so far. I don't think you're going to find a 1-to-1 comparison of all the options that are out there. I don't think many people have tried all of 'em. In the first two pages of the search I found lots of threads where people talk about what they've done to lower their bikes as well as their experiences with the products they used to do it.

Talks about a few different ways to lower:

I have run 1" lowering blocks on my Sporty for 3 years. Works great. Lots of info and some pics at this LINK

Not sure what the OEM length is on your scoot, but I've got a set of 11" take off's from my Nightster I'd let go pretty cheap.

I'm currently using 1" blocks from DK with longer shocks. Install couldn't be easier.

How do I know what length shocks I have. I can't measure them because it's not in my possession right now. It's an 07' XL883C. I wouldn't mind buying a shorter set of shocks.

Might be the same as mine 11" bolt to bolt don't quote me, but I think if not 11" maybe 12" maybe the stealership could give you that info..
