Has anyone figured out what the closest E3 Diamond fire spark plugs are yet? I would like to try them in the bike, but I didn't know if someone else has already figured out which plug to use. I bought a couple of stock HD plugs to take down to the local parts store to see if they could figure it out, just haven't gotten down there yet.
Don't know about bikes but i tried them In my Camaro in 2005 and e3 ended up buying them back from me after I replaced 6/8 of them. Couldn't keep them from fouling. Put some stock Delcos in it and ran perfect. I won't spend money on them.
Well in my experience they have helped increase MPG in every vehicle I've installed them on. And I'm the **** type that records information on gas, mileage, and such. Usually I see about a 5% gain, but it depends on the vehicle. Before the E3 I used the Bosch Platinum +4's.
My favorite thing to do as an auto technician was to fix cars with a miss fire. Customer complaint of a miss fire even after they replaced the plugs, we'd make bets on what plugs were in the vehicle... 9/10 bosche plugs. Really horrid designs.
Just an FYI you aren't going to gain much by putting in special quad tip plugs because the physics of electricity will be the same inside that churning inferno of a motor.
the same spark voltage and amperage = same burn.
Look at it this way, the only things that can affect gas mileage would be your foot/hand, tuning, and the enviroment you are driving
