Went to Harley Dealer and picked up some pegs.... When I got them home and went to put them on, I realized the one side of the bracket is longer and the regular pegs won't fit.... What the f%ck, why did harley do this... The pegs fit every other model. Anyways, the question is... Can you buy a conversion bracket? I looked on Dennis Kirk and couldn't find anything?
Just take a grinder to the mount and make them both even. Works just fine, takes maybe a few minutes per side. Pretty easy and plenty here have done it.

I might have to do this, good thing I have a flap wheel in the garage

It's a frustrating issue that's been we'll documented here. I got the replacement black clevis with even sides, part #42503-07 & #42504-07. Grinding your stock ones down is the alternative. My grinding skills are useless so I just ordered the replacements.
As a side note I used to live in St Clairsville and we used to ride the country roads up through Mt Vernon. Great roads for casual rides!

Thanks! I'll just get the replacements, seems like it would look a lot better considering there wouldn't be grinding marks lol
I love to ride on our country roads! Sycamore is about 20 miles of nothing but country. If you ever have the chance, eat at a little restaurant called RJ's Hot Spot in Martinsburg

I went and ordered those parts, Harley couldn't confirm that they would work and it costed me a healthy 130 bucks for them. Can't wait to see if they work, they said if it does they need to publish it lol
I made this same mistake TWICE and the Harley Dealer made it one of the times, IT IS NOT THE PEGS, they have two different pegs one is for the passenger (rear pegs) and the other is for the riders position, take them back make sure they understand you want the front pegs, when you receive them as most do not carry them IN STOCK they have to order them look at the back of the box and make sure they say Rider position..

Right, we're talking about replacing the bracket (clevis) that the pegs go into with the ones from the other models that have equal length sides.

Next time, unless its a part you gotta have right that second, check out surdyke.com. Usually ~20% cheaper than your dealer, I ordered mine from there for $96.
