Ok, so I got this bike 2 weeks ago. I liked the stock paint but it's not what I REALLY wanted.. I wanted a blacked out bike. Im not good with paint and afraid I would screw it up. So I decided to plasti dip it instead. Here is where Im at as of today after 2 cans of plasti dip and 11 hours of work.
I still have a sissy bar im plasti dipping. I will be putting on 8" mini apes this weekend and next week I will have my mustang front and rear seats.
Yea, that's what I heard. When I get gas I will use a paper towel to cover the gas pump nozzle to help as much as possible.
I do this with my stock paint. Yeah plasti dip has a nice look to it, but is like a dust magnet. I have my half helmet done in it and it looks killer and is holding up well, but my God that thing gets dusty all the time.

Sounds familiar. My primer does the same. Oh well...
Well I will have to research more about cleaning it, but I heard I could use stuff like armor all or other tire cleaners. Got my sissy bar done last night but no new pics. Probably will wait until i put the mini apes and new seats on before I take more. I went to dipyourcar .com and they have 3 new metallic colors that look really good. There is one that looks like a high gloss dark silver that I may try when I decide its time for a new look. Also wanting to put some white wall on eventually too.
Ok, got the 8" mini apes on today as well as the plasti dipped sissy bar. Wanna post pictures but for some reason it keeps telling me upload error. What am I doing wrong?
