After too many malfunctions and no real help from the local dealer, I've decided to remove it. I've unplugged the siren after no response from the fob or the manual disarm procedure. I'm guessing the TSM/TSSM is behind the left side panel as it is on my 05 FXD. I haven't purchased the service manual for the Iron yet, but can anyone tell me if there's any reprogramming or smart stuff to do after unplugging? Thanks again.
thanks again rickss69. (you helped me to locate the siren a few months earlier) That's some great info. but removal or of the system sounds more complicated than on my 05 FXD, with all the codes and 'learning modes'. I may have to trailer it to the dealer...damn.
I guess I'll have to replace whatever is there with a standard(non security) turn signal module.(and a few disc locks with alarms) After the last episode I dropped it at the local service department and all they could tell me is they plugged the siren back in and it 'seems to be fine'. The other night it happened again. Sitting in the garage, the alarm sounds and no combination of fob, key, or manual procedure will make it stop. Got the tools out, unbolted and unplugged the siren. It's my lady's ride, and I want to be sure she's not left stranded. (next to her screaming bike) I haven't bought the service manual for this one yet, but I thought now would be the time and maybe save some money instead of paying the dealer, how hard could it be?. I'll still buy the manual of course, but the 'codes and modes' thing worries me.

I removed mine after reading through Cosmo's guide a year or so ago.
The wor$t part is replacing the Turn Signal Module for a standard one.
Worth every penny though, haven't had a dead battery since.
oh, and her ride is a 2011 883, so I guess a regular TSM in place of the HFSM?
Yes...I called it a tssm in error earlier. Replacing it is the only difficult part of the procedure...the reset/learn procedure is easy. Here are TSM's on ebay... http://www.ebay.com/itm/181123104473...84.m1423.l2649
