Default Why doesn't my Choke Cable stay in place?

stupid choke **** is pulling itself back in whenever I pull it out,, I installed cobra slip-on's a few weeks ago, probably doesn't have anything to do with the choke cable unless somehow the airflow of the engine is pulling the choke closed. but it worked fine for the first 2 weeks I had the mufflers installed, the mufflers have worn in.

is it the hot weather?

anyone ever have this problem?

Tighten the plastic tightener by hand and on slightly tighten the nut on backside of the mount with a wrench. Be careful because the clamp system is half plastic half metal. And over tightening will cause it to snap. Your hunting for the right tension that will hold it open when you start the bike and slide close by itself as you ride down the road.

It does not need to be able to close its self. If your adjustment works out it will close itself, if not, like most people you'll have to just close it manually. either way is fine as long as it stays open when you go to start the bike........

no, you're the ones that ruined the place and the rest of the world with your stupid BS wars for nothing, nothing but lies, , nothing but millions of dead innocent people. 3 million dead alone in Vietnam and a country poisoned and destroyed with napalm and agent orange, Iraq, over 1 million dead and a country bombed to rubble and poisoned with depleted uranium. And a trillion dollars down the *******,, All for Nothing! Nothing!

So you get the F out, your the war criminals that ruined the place..

I want America Restored, I want the real America, not the phasad that's on TV about everyone grabbling and worshipping to the G.D. troops that ruined the place and put us $17 trillion in debt,

George Washington, the founder of this country said to Steer away from foreign entanglements, and that's all you ******** do is screw up the planet.

I take great offense to your characterization of our soldiers as "G.D. troops that ruined the place and put us 17 trillion in debt". Do you think they did it themselves? Do you think they all got up one day and said "Let's go bomb the crap out of someone so we can put the country in debt"? Where's your outrage at the current administration that has nearly tripled that figure?

I found a new avatar for you 06Sporty75. This seems to fit your persona better than the one you are using now:

It's hard to take you seriously by looking at your uniformed comments and the use of 21rst in your signature line. The makeup of our current debt has only 23% attributed to defense. Healthcare and pensions are about 47% of the total debt, so I am sure you are just as adamant about reform in those areas as well.

Also, George Washington made this comment referring to not engaging in the French Revolution because we were dealing with a war on our soil against Native Americans. This was not his general foreign policy.

I dont agree with what you say but am glad you have been afforded the right in this country to say it.

I hope you got what you needed regarding your choke issues since this is the HD forum, not a political one
