Hey guys, I removed the baffles on my 02 sporty (se2) and liked the sound, a little deep but good. Rode great for a while then it bogged out on me and I was stuck after that, it ran after sitting for a while again for about 2 weeks, now its out again and wont start . cleaned the carb beginning of summer so I imagine its back pressure loss causing bad air fuel ratio. So I am planning on getting big city baffles and jets, thinking that is the peoblem of course. Id rather not get the baffles and just get the jets for it. Does any one have good suggestions and also what is that sensor that one of my breather hoses from my carb goes into? Does that need replacing ?? Any help would be great guys
First harley im used to my dirt bikes .. so what can I do to fix it.
JSport, removing the baffles shouldn't have made your bike die. But you gotta put out more info. Is it not starting, do you have any power? Gotta run through everything, check battery, fuses, switches. If you have no power. Or do you mean it's just running weak without the baffles?

Thanks man, sorry first forum for me to .. but bike turns over has electrical and no fuses are blown.. it just wont start up . Carb ran better than before cleaning itl.and for some reason it seemed to run better without baffles ...well until now. ....also after cranking it over it smells like it is getting to much fuel
And before it died I was drivingbit on the highway and it was bogging out when given to much acceleration but stayed running until I killed it ......thanks guys
I wouldn't worry too much about the fuel smell. I ripped my baffles and cats out and also started smelling a hint of fuel. Mainly because there is no cat.
