Default Fork Deflectors

The wife and I just got back from a trip to southeast Kentucky. Great roads and people! She had been complaining of her "helmet getting bounced around" so I knew some fork deflectors were in order. I have a Road King that I use JES Custom Accents fork deflectors on (with and without lowers) and they solved my buffeting problems. I looked around and couldn't find anything for her detachable windshield or the one I had on my Dyna. I sent and email to JES (Joseph) and asked him if he could make something that would fit Sportster and Dyna detachable windshields. To my surprise he said sure, let's give it a shot.

After some talking on the phone, UPSing prototypes and on road testing, here they are (on the wife's Sportster), albeit dirty from the trip. They bolt right up to the existing hardware and come off when the windshield comes off. They block the turbulence from under the screen and don't create any additional heat. (Several test rides with laser temp gun)

I don't know the guy from JES Custom Accents other than talking on the phone and emailing back and forth. He's not my cousin and I've paid full price for all the defectors I have on my bike. I'm gonna photo my Dyna with them on when I get my windshield back, I sent it for the deflector design. The deflectors on the 883 are rattle canned black because that's what I had in the garage. I think I remember Joseph saying they would be available in chrome but check his website to be sure when they become available.

Those are still in design phase I hope, and not a finished product that you paid for.
As the cuts, radius' and bends don't match.

That's the finshed product, but again they won't be rattle canned black. It could be that I'm lousy photographer and haven't used the correct angle perspective.

You have curves at the top, and straight angle cuts at the bottom. I think that's what Ranger is noticing.

They look pretty close to Softail lowers, that's what I run on my windshield. I had to drill a couple of holes in them to make them fit on the windshield.

I checked his website, and I didn't see anything list for a Sportster? What P/N did you purchase?

He said in his post that they are prototypes, so they probably aren't for sale yet

Indeed, they are the first ones. Once I get my Dyna screen back I'll post photos of them on that bike as well. I can't say for sure when JES will start selling them on his site. I know he has a "Contact Us" button there because that's how I originally got in touch with him.
