I got out Sunday afternoon and took my old Florida ride. Wacahoota area on 121 to Hwy 320 (the old bloodiest road in Florida circa 1830s) to 441. It has beautiful hills and pastures with cattle and horse farms. South on 441 to 329. Big live oaks and farms the whole way back to 316. Then West back to Williston. Almost zero traffic and perfect weather. Good times.
Best of luck with the Surgery. I'm sure I can speak for everyone when I say that we are hoping you make a fast recovery and can get back on your ride ASAP.
Thanks. Not looking forward to it but has to be done.
Torn rotator cuff, detached bicep tendon, bone spurs and arthritis.
Hope the DR is better at surgery than he is drawing..
Knee is next up..

I thought I had heard the Freezer burnt down last year or was that the Monkey bar?
I'm getting old and can't remember.
Anyway my riding days are over for a couple months. Having Shoulder Surgery Thursday.
The Freezer is still there. I don't know what the name of the bar is, but one of the ones real close by did burn last year. Good luck with your surgery!!!
...Looks like tomorrow (Tuesday) will be just as nice, so just might do it all over again....
It is not yesterday, but it today (Tuesday 2/11) and Yep, I did it again. The weather was just outstanding. Got quite warm and had to shed the leather vest when I stopped for lunch at thiis place in Sandford of SR46:
The Bike was out back.
Good food and a very busy at lunch time. Sorry, should have taken a pic of the tables...they were all full.
Wanted to prove when I was there. The date and time was correct, but the clock is living in the way distant past.
Started the ride with about 20 minutes of PLP, practicing my U-turns, hard stops, circles and today, immediate hard left turns from a stand still... they are not easy for me! Then headed south and wound up in Sandford. Stopped at Seminole Harley, but it was quiet as a church and all the familiar faces I had delt with weren't there. Headed back the long way al the way over to A1A for a short ride up the coast before heading home.
Can we have weather like this all year long , PLEASE!
Thanks. Not looking forward to it but has to be done.

I've worked in surgery settings for years providing specialty surgical equip. seems your issue is degenerative/repetitive? just like any profession theres good and bad swings of competence. orthopedic surgeon w/good reputation would be my first vetting, age doesn't necessarily mean better. few surgeons survive consistently poor surgical performances. the illustration is accurate for a "napkin sketch". think of it this way Docs have highly trained specific medical expertise not a 4 year art degree. surgery will be the easy part, your recovery/rehab is what will tax you. a ball/joint socket is prone to issues. my day will come. best of luck.
