New to the Crew Section
I don’t get it delivered until April due to that is how I had to order it through the Exchange car sales program. Also, I wanted time to get settled back into Civilian life, get a job, and get my finances straight before I got it. Originally I had it setup to be delivered the end of June, but moved it up to April when the financing came through.
Besides, I still have to get my Endorsement, and all my riding gear. I’ll be taking the basic rider course here in San Diego the week of Thanksgiving, courtesy of the Navy. That way when I get back home I can get my license taken care of soon after. And maybe rent a bike or two between then and April. Bill.
Hey Navy, welcome and thanks for the 29yrs. Some of us are Patriot Guard Riders, so would welcome you to both the FLA Crew and PGR if you're so inclined. Whatever the case, you came to the right place if you think you'll love riding, good folks, and fun times.

I can see a wealth of experience and knowledge out there from the posts I've seen and read on this website. Not feeling AS intimidated by my lack of experience with bikes anymore. Will see how true that is once I finally get on one to ride.
PGR? Seen a few references on it but not sure what it is?
Thank you for giving the guts for our beloved country and welcome aboard the Crew! You won't find a bunch quite like this one, I'm sure of that.
Keep us posted on what's what, we will be behind you every step of the way. Even the rider course is a great intro to riding 2 wheels. I'm very releived it's mandatory now, I always thought it should have been.
I made several attempts to join several difference MCs, but I had a problem with the rules. That is why I like this group. Our Motto, "NO RULES JUST RIDE!". You'll love it here. We like to take nice loooong rides for breakfast, lunch, or what ever. Anything to ride.
There is nothing like pulling that beautiful piece of artwork, known by many as a Harley Davidson, out of the garage. Putting on your gear one piece at a time just thinking about riding. You climb on top her and settle into the saddle. You grip the bars, turn her on and gently press the start button. She responses with a deep rumble and a musical rhythm known only to a Harley. As the vibrating energy tranfers from the bike to your body, you shift her into first. As you slowly release the clutch and feather the throttle, you head off into a heaven of bliss. You finally make your way away from the busy city and find a lonely two lane road in the middle of noway. Finally you become one with your bike and all of your problems and stress burn up in the exhaust roaring from your thundering pipes.

I think you made a good choice....go rent some and feel em out. Hope to ride with you soon!

Oh Geeze!
I needed that! I sure as #ELL hope so!
I'll know the week of Thanksgiving how the course is.
I'm taking it the Monday and Tuesday of that week.
Does anyone know if the MSF course differs from the Rider's Edge course thru HD? Or is it all basically the same?
Bill
