Wanted to introduce myself to you all and get my bearing before I get my bike.
I’ve been ON the Pacific Ocean / Indian Ocean / North Arabian Sea since late May. Currently I’m just the other side of Hawaii on a U.S. Navy deployment, heading for Honolulu, then into San Diego not long after. I’m a Navy CPO, currently stuck out here in San Diego (by myself) finishing out my almost 29 year Navy career. Will be driving my F-150 BACK to St. Augustine in early December to rejoin the Wife and kids and RETIRE. Then I’m gonna have to start working on finding me a real job for a change Found this website a few weeks back, and stumbled across the Florida Crew section a few days ago. I just ordered my first Harley a week ago, via the Navy Overseas Auto Program, but don’t get it until April. Got a 2010 Fat Bob they’re gonna deliver to me at the St Augustine Harley store. I hope it wasn’t a bad decision for a first bike, but I’ll know soon enough. May have to go out and rent a few bikes until April gets here. Didn’t’ know how you all run the Florida Crew, but I’d like to get in with you all once I have my 2 wheels under me. Thanks.
welcome and thank you for your services. there is quite a diverse bunch of people here in the crew. they are the best of people to ride with and to hang with.
as for your choice of bike, just make sure it is comfy. if you get really involved in the crew, you will be putting on 300-400 lunch rides on your bike sooner than you think.
we meet throughout the state of florida just to have lunch.
Well I'm definitely in need of a change of scenery. Want to be able to enjoy Florida from a differnet perspective - on a bike.
Not only is it my first Harley, it will be my first bike period.
This sounds like it's gonna be an interesting bunch. Bill.

I bet more than a few of us want to be with you when you pick up your bike!
The Florida Crew IS an interesting bunch...and I know coming out of the military, you will have to get used to the "NO RULES" rule we have!
Why does it take so many monthes to get the bike, Bill?
