New to the Crew Section
I live just off SR13 and the road along the St. Johns back there is peaceful and beautiful. And it's all 2-lane.
That's the ride I keep thinking about doing, with the Wife as well, if she wants to come along.
I'm here in Honolulu, Hawaii for another day. Just got in yesterday morning around noon. Going to go find the local HD dealership and LOOK AT / SIT ON the bike I bought today.
April's a long way away. But I know it'll get here soon enough.

I made several attempts to join several difference MCs, but I had a problem with the rules. That is why I like this group. Our Motto, "NO RULES JUST RIDE!". You'll love it here. We like to take nice loooong rides for breakfast, lunch, or what ever. Anything to ride.
Now that sounds like a ride. Okay cHarley, set it up. He gets his bike in April. Can we get a ride together to meet and greet bhigalgo????
There is no better way I can think of....
There is nothing like pulling that beautiful piece of artwork, known by many as a Harley Davidson, out of the garage. Putting on your gear one piece at a time just thinking about riding. You climb on top her and settle into the saddle. You grip the bars, turn her on and gently press the start button. She responses with a deep rumble and a musical rhythm known only to a Harley. As the vibrating energy tranfers from the bike to your body, you shift her into first. As you slowly release the clutch and feather the throttle, you head off into a heaven of bliss. You finally make your way away from the busy city and find a lonely two lane road in the middle of noway. Finally you become one with your bike and all of your problems and stress burn up in the exhaust roaring from your thundering pipes.

Of course once you ride a harley, your'e not likely to stray.. that seems to be the tradition anyhow. I believe it is the family of HD that the riders have, certainly isnt the price!! Heh
I'm an "ATC". And I'm winiding down my 10th and final deployment.
I'm glad to here when these young sailors like your Son go into the Aviation side of the house. Alot of job possibilities once he gets out, especially with what he's going to be doing.
I'm on the Ronald Reagan out of San Diego. Is you Son in A Squadron, or onboard a carrier in an AIMD?
As for the bike, I'm REALLY tempted to try a rental once I get my endorsement done.

I'm just up the road in Jax Beach. I like rides a few hundred miles long, so be prepared! For istance, this Saturday I'm going around the Okefenokee swamp in Georgia. Oughta be a few hundred miles...on a Sporty.
One thing about the Fl. crew rides is..they have a meet time for the rides and a destination, BUT...
when they get there IF they get there (they might go somewhere else) is another thing! Never, ever tell your wife you will be home by 5...or 6....or...well, I think you get the idea!

Thanks..... I was having a tearing moment. She's made at me. I walked past her and she tried to kick me.... I think she is thinking I'm cheating on her with another HD.....
