The NW region...between Cedar Key and Ocala. Cedar Key is beautiful. That whole region is sparsely populated. Can't name all the roads up there, but just about all were very scenic with more hills and curves than most of Florida. Even a major road like US19 has very light traffic. A specific road is 326 between US19 and I75. Takes you through horse country...amazing ranches.
Another good ride is Rte 13, off of Rte 207 just west of St Augustine, up along the St Johns River to Switzerland. Good lazy ride with river views and you get to see homes of some of the "money people" who don't want to live in Jax. 30+ miles.
I ride that quite a bit, at least down 13. They put a nice park with a pier on the North end of 13, and some round-a-boots .. wheee! There's a fish camp around there somewhere too.
I have some friends coming to S. Fla with their bikes this weekend, I'd planned a trip to Alabama Jacks with perhaps a detour to Lucky Cole's on the Loop Road this Saturday 5/24.
Anyone that cares to caravan down to Alamaba Jacks for lunch is welcome, we'll leave Cafe 27 mid-morning on Saturday and ride down 27 to the turnpike.
Info on Loop Road and Lucky Cole off Tamiami trail ˝ way between Miami and Naples in case anyone's interested, apparently his photography is quite a sight:
Joe you can ride up 27 then head over to Lake Okeechobee either west or east sides and go all round the Lake and head back to 27 or go towards Indiantown and take 98/441 to the Turnpike and come back south. I like 27 north because there's no traffic for 45 miles of what feels like an interstate road. Yes there are plenty of places to eat at.
BigGator knows all the routes and stops.

Thanks Lauren! You and your beau are welcome to ride with us Saturday if you like. Though I understand Lucky Cole has some nudes at his place...it's art you know, but didn't want to offend anyone! LOL

The fish camp is Out Back Crab Shack just south of the SR16 and 13 intersection.

You might be referring to Alpine Groves Park right there in Switzerland. It's an old citrus farm. Also a new park down in new Rivertown. The fish camp I think you are referring to is Outback Crab Shack south of the Shands Bridge. All good places and pretty scenery.
I always venture up into Mandarin and cruise Mandarin Rd to Scott Mill Rd and follow the river. Ends at Beauclerc and San Jose (SR 13). A fun afternoon loop for anyone in Jax.
There is a road off of US19 called troublecreek and if you take that heading west....there are some really nice curves back there plus it takes you to ALT 19 in the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs. I like doing this run for the curves.....but just like Ozella watch out for the flippen sand.
