Passed a whole bunch of bikes yesterday while out riding, and almost every single one of them waved. I've been riding for over 30 years, always have waved, to everyone (including mopeds, crotch rockets, etc) and always will. The one exception is during bike events in Daytona....and then there are just too many to wave at.
SNS - I have found that the number of Harley riders that wave has diminished since I traded my Road King in for the Road Glide. I assume that they are just jealous...
I hadn't thought of that but you are likely right!
With the popularity of riding, it is becoming a little much to wave to every person riding.
I agree, with all the bikes on the road, its becoming a huge PITA, nothing against anyone but just don't bother half the time now and no one should really give a chit. After all when I'm in my car or truck we don't wave at each other every time we pass.

That's one of the things that separate us from cagers

I have a question. I was driving my cage in town the other day
and a group of bikers were coming in my direction.
They were all dressed in total black, full face masks, etc.
You could not see any faces, or skin exposed, they all looked the same. There were about 6-8 of them, and one of the leaders, riding the line next to me, was pointing at the road to me. I know it was me, he was making eye contact, well, I couldn't actually see his eyes, but he faced directly at me, and continued pointing to the road.
I actually pulled over a bit up the road to see if there was something wrong with my car, or something hanging, etc.
Anyone know what this meant? Did he like my ride?
After he went by me, he stopped pointing. None of the others were pointing to me, just him. I was like WTF?
I think they bad some sort of colors on too.
Thanks
Rags
I've always waved at other riders. It's kinda funny, but I even acknowledge the local college kids on scooters and after awhile I've noticed most of them have started to wave back. Not too many riders down this way who won't acknowledge eachother in passing.
