Obviously this guy hasn't seen someone get swarmed by a group of POd bikers whose brother he just ran over.
Oh yeah! I can just run over all of them too.

This guy did not say he would intentionally run over anyone. You guys have to use some common sense here.

Sense is very uncommon here as this thread has proven beyond reasonable doubt..

The way I see it, unless it's a huge group (20+ bikes), the riders will take care of themselves and the group will stay together or re-form. When I've been with other people if someone doesn't make the light, those who did will generally slow down a little to give the other person a chance to catch up and rejoin. Everyone watches everyone to ensure nobody gets too far separated or lost.

This subject has been brought up before on this forum. Someone please tell me, why do you have to stay with the group at all times? You all know where you are going right? Most charity / poker runs hand out maps. So what if you get separated? You will meet up at the end of the run, are you afraid that you will get lost?

And Zeus is right, he wasn't saying he was trying to run down bikers. He just wasn't going to yield right of way when there wasn't any. Although I have yielded for bikers, that doesn't mean that I had to.

The argument that compares other vehicles trying this explains it best. Imagine a large group of VW bugs blocking your intersection, when you have the green with a long line of traffic behind you, and your already 5 minutes late for work. It's just pisses people off.

Most of the Poker runs here must be different since they don't hand out maps. More like some typed directions to the next stop. Some of the older runs do tend to end at the same place, but not always.

So, you don't know where the next stop is until you get to a stop? If you don't end up at the same place at the end, how do you know who won the high hand, etc....?

Personally, I try to learn the last stop before hand. Someone usually leaks it out. Then they'll usually let you complete the hand at the last stop if you have missed a stop. Some I know just never finish a run. It's another reason I like the runs that at least announce where the party is at the end even if I don't know the stops in the middle.

I wonder what would happen if the group of bikers the op was talking about was held up at a red light while those vw bugs putted through. I would bet dollars to donuts that they would not sit through a green light waiting for bugs to pass. Double standard?
