Talking Yep, Another Happy Fuel Moto Customer

I wasn't thinking and posted this thread in the Rushmore section. Figure it might be a good idea to duplicate it here since I did receive some interest. Here is the OP from the original thread.

I just got back from taking my bike up to Fuel Moto in Little Chute, WI where I had them install a 107 BBK, B CNC heads and TW-777 CAMs. I already had a pretty nice Stage 1 setup with 84 hp and 103 tq. After the new work was complete I'm now at 113 hp and 126 tq. I wasn't looking for a race bike just looking for a better driving experience. This setup delivers. It's not just the higher numbers but where the power is delivered. I'm breaking 100 tq at 2500 rpm. Nice!

The experience with Jamie and the crew at Fuel Moto couldn't have been smoother. I dropped my bike off at 9am on Monday, answered a few questions and was told it should be ready late morning on Tue. They would call when it was ready. I showed up around 10:45, was tired of sitting in my hotel room staring at the clock, lol. My bike was sitting outside and Jamie was just getting ready to road test it. He took it for a short ride, came back, made a couple of tweaks to the tune, another test ride and I was ready to go.

I had a little over 800 miles to get back home, actually worked out well since the new parts needed a break-in period. As soon as I hit the highway the improvements were very noticeable. Even taking it easy it had much better response, particularly at the lower rpm range. I found I really never had to down shift unless I was in stop and go traffic, thank you Chicago. At times I was down to 55 or 60 mph in 6th with no problems accelerating once traffic opened up.

Figured I just go ahead and baby it all the way home. It was quite enjoyable without pushing it anyway. I'll change to oil tomorrow and then have a 300 mile trip planned for Sat. Can't wait.

Thank you Fuel Moto for a great experience and an awesome upgrade to my bike. I really appreciate the attention to detail. I left feeling like you guys not just bolted on a kit but you ensured everything was perfect. Even things that were not necessarily part of the build, like changing the air filter for a slight bump in the numbers.

And the dyno chart

I am awaiting a FedEx delivery scheduled for Wednesday bringing my 98 kit, upgraded cam plate/oil pump, TW555's and FM 4" mufflers. Hope to get it installed next weekend so I can enjoy the same changes as you. Looking forward to singing the praises of FM as well; the experience so far has been great.

I don't notice any change in the engine noise. No visual clue either. Just my butt dyno notices and my throttle hand has much less to do

Thought I'd provide a mpg update. Logged a little over 800 miles. Probably 85% highway. On highway was generally running pretty hard, 85-90 mph. Off highway was mostly easy going although I did get on it a few times to feel out the changes. Anyway, calculated 41.5 mpg. I'm pretty happy with that particularly given how hard I was running for most of it.

Any different sounds at idle? I have the same setup and I think I have reversion in the intake from the cam overlap. Do you notice this on your bike?

I do, Jamie explained this to me when I picked the bike up. Totally normal and not an issue. I just ignore it.
