Don't get the shoei quest. It stinks after a while and doesn't vent very well plus it whistles loud when the shield is cracked to keep from fogging.

So far, leaning to the full face....
I have the sena 20 and use it in a shoei rj platinum 3/4 helmet and no issues hearing music without a windshield. It is actually quieter than my full face qwuest

Shoei Neotec.....top quality. Mine is fitted with J&M's best headset and in cold weather or rain you can't beat it. Yes, they're on the expensive side but worth it.

Most important thing is to determine your head shape and then go from there. I have been riding since 1974 and never thought about head shape.I would just try on a cheap to mid price helmet and go with it. Finally after learning about different head shapes and helmet shapes I discovered Arai was the best fit for me. All these years I have been buying either size large or extra large but my new Arai is a medium. I never thought I would spend that much for a helmet but decided to order from Revzilla because of their return policy. I have been wearing my new Arai for about 6 weeks and I'm very satisfied.

I just recently bought the Bell Rogue. Its probably not good for cold winters though. I live in North Florida and it rarely gets below 20 here. Ill let you know after January!

My wife wears the N44. She likes it as well.
Scored my modular Nolan last winter on clearance for 3 bills. Visibility is amazing (#1 issue for me) and the quality is evident every time I wear it. It's not the quietest but I wear earplugs so it's not an issue.

That's why I sent mine back, it was way too loud...for that kind of of quality it should be quiet...IMHO

No matter what anyone suggest or looks good online, a bad fitting helmet and a bitchy woman are two things you dont want to take on a long ride. You'll be ready to dump both in a few hours.
Its always best to spend some time choosing one that fits and is comfortable for a long time.

I just bought a Monaco carbon modular for the weight saving over my m1 fulmer. It is light and looks decent and the transitions face shield is excellent.

I cant comment on the pin lock anti-fog yet but it doesn't seem to affect normal vision. I was a little concerned about buying it didn't want to always be putting it on taking it off.

It fits real tight on my head I bought the same size as I always wear. The only drawback I've seen in the short time I've ridden with it besides its so damn tight is my speakers had to come back out on my first ride. There isn't enough room for them. I plan on removing some of the styrofoam about a 1/4" and think they will be fine. My suggestion is in person get your hands on whatever you can for a trial fit buying helmets online is maybe not the best idea ymmv.

One thing I really like over my fulmer m1 is there is none or very very little extra wind drag with the chin piece flipped up like a 3/4. That to me is a huge plus as far as I am concerned because these ff type helmets can get pretty warm. I like being able to flip it and ride other than just at slow speeds thru town etc. hth
