I'll be 68 this year, so I have not been old enough to own a batwing. But when I become old enough, it will have the mail slot, as ugly as it is, it is better than the front fork lowers.
I am surprised that it does not shut tight on the outside. It would have been so easy and so cool, but that said, bug and bird catcher it is, I will buy one and because I am old enough and have owned and '42Flathead, '47 Knucklehead, * '80Shovelhead, '88Evo, '97, '10, I will look at the harley's kids version, the street glide special in 2016. I will add the twin rails to the bags and proper turn signals, but maybe this time I live without the front bumper. I'll add the trunk as I do now, QD. Oh the * were my sportster years, or should I say one sportster to do it all. A '61.
Must be winter, our opinions seem to matter more when we ride less.

Maybe they will come out with a nostalgia electra !! More $$ for the MOCO.
Think how much $$ the MOCO saves by not only deleting the traditional bumpers, trim, lights and such and yet again gain more with sales of said items.
HD is not here to make all of us happy, just most but they make their shareholders happy.
Enjoy the ride while we can, they will soon be much different.
