Me too brother. I finally took mine for a ride and now she is hooked. She kept on saying how she forgot how it felt. Which started a whole new conversation about how she would have forgotten how it felt. Apparently in her younger wilder days she use to ride a crotch rocket. Anyways she is hooked on our bike and wants to go for rides all the time now. We have already gotten her boots and a vest. Going for a ride tomorrow.
I have been trying to get my wife to buy riding gear. She did buy a pair of hd riding boots a while back, but I have been unable to convience her to buy a leather jacket and gloves. She has always said that she doesn't ride that much and can't see spending the money. I, on the other hand, have bought just about all I need. I was on the Barnett web site during last summer and found a leather jacket in my size (5xl) for $199. Well, we drove down to El Paso (about 3 hours). Found all kind of goodies. Tally ended up at a dime short of $600. Best thing was, while the lady was ringing everything up, she priced the jacket at $99. I think you could see smoke from my heels as I was leaving the store.
Two weeks ago we drove the kids to CO to visit my brother-in-law for spring break. We hit every hd dealer we could find. At Pike Peaks in co springs my wife found a jacket in her size. She had been unable to find anything that fit her perfect. She wore it while she shopped and decided to buy it and some gloves. Her jacket cost $260 and with the rest of the stuff we bought I got me that 'free' cooler. Now she is isn't giving me such a hard time spending money on the bike. My point being, it is good to spoil her, she deserves it...and I don't feel as bad droppin' money on my ride.
