Default Stupid seat question, please help

I am going to put a solo seat on my 2010 Road King (prob the Brawler) and here is my question.
Can the solo seat be replaced easily with the factory seat back and forth, or is there that bracket that needs to be removed and replaced each time?

On my FXDL, I simply use a different threaded hole in the fender, which I realize this is not... however, is it a quick swap or does the bracket need to be removed to reinstall the 2up OEM seat?

Thanks

you have to pull the bracket- expect to invest about 3 minutes each time.

In reality, you are removing the nut for the seat.

pulling the seat

removing the 2 nuts ( all 3 nuts use the same size 7/16" socket) over the studs the T bracket mounts on

wiping the sweat off your brow...maybe lying down for a minute.

then nuts back on and new seat and mounting screw

here's a pic of the bracket:

If you are using the Corbin classic solo (with the locking mechanism) you will have to add and remove the brackets in the front and back each time.....will probably take 8-10 minutes. With most ono-locking seats it should be much easier.

I have a Danny Gray solo seat with the type of bracket as the one Mike shows in the pics. I don't have to remove the bracket from the solo seat. I take the solo seat off and put the two up stock seat back on it sits over the bracket with out any issue , takes a minute to go from solo to 2 up.

Good point- I didn;t think of that as i use a back rest sometimes ( with my other seats), so need to mount the bracket for the backrest in the same location as the T bracket

oh, in the pics you can make out the rubber bumpers on the frame rails and the rubber washer on the T bracket.

These raise the seat up slightly to keep it from scuffing the paint.

frame rail bumpers also raise the SG and Ultra seats I use and a rubber washer under the seat screw

that pic is the brawler BTW.
It is ok around town but I prefer the sg seat for anything under 4 or 5 hours

This is what I was hoping for. That the bracket would stay mounted on the fender with the 2-up seat riding over top of it. Thanks Crimson
