Did it also have an aircleaner change to an SE or the like? Back then, with pipes and AC only, quite often dealers merely did a stage 1 download with no other tuner. If it gets hooked up to a DT at the dealer, they will be able to tell if there was a download. If it runs good and plugs look good, I wouldn't worry about it. When you go to further upgrade, buy a tuner.
Yes it does have an non-stock air cleaner. It has no back plate and a tapered K&N style filter element.
It does run great, sounds very deep and growly with those Hookers. The only thing that concerns me is that it crackles and pops a lot on decel. Is that normal?
