Three of the four lights in the fairing switches are inop. I made some electrical mods that initially didn't go well and left me with three failed lights. Is there a way to replace the bulbs or does it require new switches? New switches are very expensive. Since I know when the speakers, etc. are on it's not real important but I like everything to work.
I'm not opposed to trying to disassemble them and solder in new bulbs but don't want to waste time if it has been tried before.
Mine only work part of the time. I was told that was a ground problem, checked and seemed fine. I was thinking of taking the blubs out so I don't have to worry about them.
Are you sure the grounds for the switches are good?
if so, you can meter the switch for continuity, that'll tell you if the bulb is blowed
Mike
All the things controlled by the switches work as advertised so, unless the bulbs have a separate ground, I wouldn't think it is a ground problem but I'll be checking that out this weekend.
Thanks
