I've thought about this mod as well. First thing that comes to mind is the complexity of removal. Can anyone chime in on this? My second thought is my bike is a 2006, and I'm not sure how long I want to keep it, so the expense of the paint work is in my mind.

I'd like to have one on my Vivid Black SG but it's down the list from CVO rear fender and 21" wrapper front fender. If I had a white Glide, it would be at the top of the list. I think the painted inner fairing looks the sharpest on White or Pearl White.
really it seems scary to do this job but it is really not that complicated . manual and this site makes it a pc of cake . best mode and the new bars i ever made. dive into it and save your money
I think they look great painted to match. The dull black was oxidizing and looked horrible anyways on my bike. I've had no issues with glare. I've had more glare from the fuel door than anything else.
