I sometimes set lifter preload off the bottom. With the cylinder at ttc, extend to zero lash. Then keep extending until the lifter bottoms out. At that point, you will be lifting the valve off the seat. You'll feel the increased tension, give it a few minutes, make sure the lifter isn't still bleeding down. You should not be able to spin the pushrods with your fingers. Then, collapse them just until the valve sits back on the seat and you can spin the pushrod. Then collapse another .060. Done.

Just a heads up, CFR exhaust don't have much for back pressure. That might be part of the lack of low end power.

True duals are low end killers. I swapped my true duals for a good 2-1-2 and my low end came back. I don't know about cfr's but have heard from many reputable people they are low end killers as well..

Thank you! I got this :-) I forgot about the spring inside, so sitting they naturally get pushed up... Cool! All your advice is greatly appreciated! I'm gonna tackle this, this weekend.

The CFR's are sitting on the shelf... Back to the rineharts! The CFR's were knock offs anyway, glad I didnt shell out all that $$$$ for nothing... They sure sound good though! I do love the true duals though! They may lower the bottom end a little, but the loud sound they produce is perfect!

Thanks to all, I'll post my dyno numbers once I have it tuned :-)
