You damn sure won't get much sympathy here on a Harley forum.
These people all drink the H-D Kool-Aid by the barrel. You can call their wife and dog ugly, but don't you dare talk bad about their Harley.
Ah, the Texas cool-aid man who never lets facts get in the way of a good cry.
For the OP, most Texans (even the women) are not like this wiz.
Thanks for those who actually made some constructive comment, people like KCwildguy and Cobra1 and some others, you make good points, I understand now about wait time from what you said KCWildguy and hope to do the Tour of factory on my next trip Stat side.
Others just seem to like to be complete dicks and sit at their keyboards and be big men...good for you whatever makes you happy. Probably the same guys who ask their wives if it's ok to ride today and wash and polish their bikes more than ride them.
I have over 30 years riding and have had many different bikes over the years and ridden with many clubs, Patriots is my main club, cause I earned the right, like a lot of other ex servicemen and woman. I ride all year round and do big miles. I even come to the States to ride and on our trips usually cover between 12 and 15000 miles over an eight to 10 week tour and it amazes me how many Americans think we are nuts for riding such big distances....but thats what bikers do..... they ride and don't sit at keyboards taking potshots at other bikers....yep some nice people in US and on here and then again there are some wanna bees too
What I discovered when I ordered a tour pack is that parts for current model year are the only parts factory painted.
All other model year painted parts are farmed out to another company, I think they are located in the mid west.
Rest assured I did not have a favorable experience, especially since it was a CVO color
Staying neutral on this one... but based on my understanding... The majority of the Harley paint lines are set up for the current colors. Hence I ordered some painted parts for my 2015 and they were in my hand in less than 2 weeks. Colors that are no longer current it depends on their backlog for that color, and then they will set up one of their other lines to paint it or most likely farm it out. If you get lucky and hit the cycle right you can have your parts in a couple of weeks. Hit it wrong and can be up to 8 weeks or more.
When a jerk wad kid of Asian decent took me out on the super slab a couple years ago it took a little over 8 weeks to get a couple painted items . Some arrived in 2-3 weeks while one item took about 10 weeks. Sucked but it looked good when done. If I had a complaint it would be their allowance of orange peel and dust specks under the paint and won't warranty or return the painted items with it.
Thanks Guys, I have a better understanding of the paint issues now, it even makes sense.
Thanks to the people with the brains and ability to assist with good comments.
To the others who think they are funny and especially to the idiot who thinks New Zealand is Australia well.........no I won't say it because it will make me as bad as you.
Cheers and Beers and thanks

I am a little disappointed in the amount of orange peel on the 2015 I just bought, I would have thought they get enough practice to have gotten that kink worked out.
As for the OP, as mentioned earlier- Why not just purchase a used fender and ride the bike until the painted fender comes in? The used fender could be sold once you are done and recoup most of your money. It really is possible to get through life without a lot of drama.....unless that is what drives you.
The dealer will not release the bike until it is fully repaired otherwise I would have done that. The Insurance company also insists on that and all parts must be brand new but thanks for your thoughts Roadie09. The guys have explained quite well at the start as to why HD take so long and I am now happy with that. Nice 15 you have there
