Never noticed a posted labor rate at a McDonald's, but just about all the dealers I've been to have one posted.
When I've been short on available time, my local VW dealer installed both a hitch and an alternator I brought to them.
Maybe you are on to something, a restaurant that also offers to cook certain food that patrons bring in for a service charge.

You could try..might get a better burger. MickeyD is having problems. Stock owners dictate maximum profit from mass low quality cheap food They should bite the bullet and copy Hardey's fresh made bun and put a pure beef patty on it. Sell it at a profit but less then Outback or 5 Guys. Enough kids and even grand kids drag us in there. I would gladly buy a adult burger.
You can do the install yourself, the only thing you need the dealer for is to program the fobs themselves to the bike.
Exactly!! I did this for my 2009 FLHR and the dealer programmed the fob for free!
I also got the Security System online, saving some $$$ along the way.
Another thing to consider, is to buy a mini siren through an electronics/hardware store.
(I got my siren at a local Radio Shack, several years ago... and it still works great!)
Just did this on my 2003 FLHR. Bought a used TSSM and fob (68200-00D) on ebay and grabbed a smart siren from the dealer. Everything was simple to install all plug and play. On mine, I didn't have to do the relearn procedure. I think that's only because my bike is carb'd. Once I setup the fob, everything works as described in the instructions. I went with the smart siren since its all plug and play and there is even a lil space for it to clip in on the back of the ignition module bracket. A bit more than the Radio Shack siren but whatever, plus I can add the pager later if I want.
Thanks for the info. I can't pass up the 20% online saving plus loyalty points. It saved me over $100 on the TSSM module. That alone would pay for the install! My dealer will install whatever I pay them to. I'll try it myself first tho..
Keep us informed. Yours should be similar to this post and he said the dealer does not need to marry the unit. Not sure about the newer ones with out the push button fob with the antenna. Post some pictures.
