So I've researched and searched on the forum for this but couldn't find a clear answer.
I have a 2007 Cop Glide and added 12" La Chopper Twin Peaks bars. These bars are 1 1/4 width (1/25") and are currently mounted. Before I put dash back on I would like to add the one piece clamp for more stability of the mounted bars.
People have recommended Harley 55918-08 One Piece Harley Clamp. I have searched the internet and it appears almost, if not all clamps are listed for 1" bars.
I understand the bars taper down to 1" at the grips and controls, but does anyone know if this will work for my stock risers and the bars I put on the bike because the bars are "1 1/4"?
He beat me to the reply, I would have said same.BTW.smart a.. is but one of many services we offer here on the forum. We are here for you, and you are welcome.
Definitely put on the 1 pc clamp. previous owner didn't on my RK and they snapped in the center at the wiring hole. Luckily I was backing into a parking spot, not dragging the boards in the twisties. Go with the poly mount bushings while your at it.
