Can't help myself with the 50% off sales lately. First screen was a 9 inch medium tint ultra for my 14 sgs, thought it was a bit tall so recently picked up a 7 inch, thought it was a bit short so just received my 8 inch today. Great windscreens and always seem to be on sale. Gonna sell one or two once I decide on the right size
Not trying to knock the product or company one bit, but how much was saved after the trial and error including shipping to the buyer(s) vs a Wind Splitter bought at a 20% discount online once it was demoed at a dealership? I completely understand not all of HD's products are great or that they will work for everyone, just a perspective maybe...?
I don't know how common it is, but the dealership I bought my bike from sells LRS and they have demo shields. I didn't know until after I bought mine, and I am happy with the shield for sure, but it would have been nice to take one for a test ride first.
The hardest part in picking the shield is it just seems different sitting in the garage compared to riding around checking the height. I ended up buying multiple heights because they seemed fine until out on the road. LRS has awesome customer service and great products and always great sales!
