I started out with some Bates boots. Got them from the local Army/Navy store, don't remember the model, zipper side jungle type boots. They didn't last a year. Within a couple of months, the heel material started shredding, looks like a stack of papers when you run your finger across it.
I ended up with a pair of Rocky work boots from khols and they're pretty decent so far. I got steel toe because why not. No problem wearing them for 10-12 hours a day. After 4 months of almost daily use and riding, the soles barely look like they've been worn.
I Googled "Most expensive/highest priced boots" appears you fellas found them all.
You missed the most expensive one: Dehner's (pronounced 'day-ners')
Custom fit; hand made in USA; been in business for about 130 years..
I scored a very unused pair for $100 and you sure can tell the difference between quality and just good. http://www.dehner.com
I have the 'laced patrol boot'; made for the motorcycle cops.. but only 14" tall, not 24".. they are custom.. you can get whatever u want..
They even have a tutorial for how to break them in BEFORE you put them on. Very good advice… and much needed for a pair of these..
They have 11 and 11.5D sizes available too if you select the Black color. The more limited sizes are in Brown. I just bought a pair for the hell of it for $55 shipped. Thanks.

If you are like me I ride mostly in the summer. Under Armor has a nice pair with mesh on the top and breath well. Walk around like tennis shoes and when its hot, you can feel the air run right throu them.
If you get lace-up boots, just be careful about tucking the laces in somewhere. When I first started riding (10 or 11 years ago) I got a lace caught on a footpeg once when I came to a stop. Fortunately it was only a Suzuki Intruder 800, and I held it up. Learned a lesson the easy way on that one. I wear Double H harness boots, but I take something else with me if I'm planning to walk very far when I get to where I'm headed.

$575.00 plus S&H. Good looking boot, and yes I do appreciate quality. I would have to buy these on a 12 month payment program
