2011 FXDC for 2010 FLHR
Dealer has a 2010 Road King in excellent cond. I have a 2011 Super Glide Custom, also in excellent cond. Road King is red, new tires, all stock, with 10,300 miles. My bike has Stage 1 plus a few chrome extras with 6,300 miles. Dealer is asking $13,800 for the FLHR. He wants my bike plus $6800 for an OTD deal! Thoughts?

not a bad price on the RK...but sell your bike yourself.
kbb.com will give you estimated trade in value and retail values.
private party sale price is usually a little more than 1/2 way between the 2.
some of you dyna parts may swap over.
kinda handy to pull off stuff and restore your dyna nearer to stock to sell it.
your additions may have next to no value to the buyer

Sell your FXDC privately, and find a RK from a private owner. never buy used from a dealership; you will take it in the chocolate starfish without lube.
The FXDC is the best looking Dyna made, & a helluva lotta fun to ride.--are you SURE you wanna take the loss?

The $6800 is OTD deal, BTW. Tax, title, etc. I thought it sounded like I'm getting screwed, but there's about $1,000 in taxes in there. I've had my bike up for sale for $10,500 for a few weeks, not one call.
