It's your choice and money for me I need every thing is on my Limited and I won't down grade for just few lbs and loose the comfort.

Other than assorted accoutrements, they are the same bike.

Add this, delete that.... Every bit interchangeable, with the right wrench, nuts and bolts.

Why not just get a detachable tour pak? That is the main difference. I would hate to give up the Spot lights. The SG loses a lot of daytime visibility without the spots.

You lose a lot of money every time you trade. I would rather buy other stuff with that money.

I had a 13 Limited bought late in 2012. Traded for a 14 SGS leftover last November,
and love it. I added a detachable chopped TP which stays on most of the time now.
The Rushmore improvements are great and I prefer the looks of the SGS over the
limited. Riding comfort is essentially the same on both bikes, yes, you loose heated grips and lowers no biggy for me. Go for it.
