2014 Streetglide, cruise control not working/lazy throttle
I had pulled the whole bike apart, had it sprayed , put it all back together at the house. I just took it for a 10.mile test ride and everything went swell except:
1- cruise control not working.
2-check engine light is on.
3-feels like its down on power and throttle isnt as responsive as it used to be.
I assume 1 and 3 are the cause of the light. I plan on checking my controls and wiring either tonight or in the morning.

I'm not sure on the newer bikes, but when I put mine back together after the bar swap, I had a check engine light and weird idle. If I rolled the throttle forward it would drop the rpm's. I pulled the codes using the ignition/trip button method. I don't remember the exact codes, but it was something to do with tps. Anyways I double checked my work. I had 2 wires flipped in the plug for the tps. I must have looked at it wrong when comparing it to the pictures I took before disassembly. Just food for thought. I was dealing with an 11EGC so YMMV.

The whole project was 10" ape replacement that became a nightmare.
most of the riders that shared opinions on this issue pointed out to the TGS errors. Is there a way to check CODES to display somewhere? w/o having to take it the shop?
thanks, i hope someone gets awake since 2015 noticed this thread was on..
Hold the odometer/trip reset button down. Turn the key to ON. The odometer readout on the speedometer will say DIAG. Release the reset button. Use the rest button to cycle thru ECM, BCM, ABS etc. Each one will have a Y or N after it. Y means a code is present. Hold the reset button down to see a code & to cycle thru the codes if more than one is present. Read the post below .... excellent info

It feels like the first 1/4" of throttle rotation is dead? Those are the exact symptoms I have when there is a bad connection at the side of the throttle body. I usually push the plug in tighter. Or unplug it and slide the plug in and out a few times to wipe off the pins and get a better connection. When I get home I add some dielectric grease.

I explained all that on separate thread created under Rushmore category to address to other problems i resolved due to some neglect and overlooking.
thanks for the input.
