TSSM issue? Not the typical problem
Initially the signals worked like normal and there were no issues. Today I took off on the bikes first real ride outside the usual 3 mile radius.
Afrer about 30 minutes he turn signal indicators stayed on constant. The buttons didn't do anything. So I pulled over after a bit to check it out. Bad idea.
Turned the ignition off and the indicator lights stayed on. Cycled the switch and no change. Tried to start it and the button did nothing. Took a little thinking and the TSSM immediately came to mind. I think it's trying to flash the 4 ways to indicate the fob isn't close and cutting power to the ignition switch.
The TSSM is part number 68922-00B. I'm not sure if it's a security system module or if it really matters. I used a piece of wire and jumped the starter off the power cable and the bike fired right up. I headed home to diagnose.
I disconnected the battery and cycled the power. Hooked back up and no change, indicator lights on. So I unhooked the TSSM and they finally turned off. This is definately the problem.
Long story is... What module part number won't have the security system built in and compatible with the 02 King harness?
Thanks
Mike
