I am to pick up my 07 SG in a few hours and as part of the deal I am getting new slip on mufflers. The RUSH are on backorder for three weeks. The dealer has the Vance and Hines. What would you do?
Do you HAVE to choose between those 2 and what is it that you like about those? In other words, what are you looking to gain in your selection of slip-ons?
I am looking for that deep Harley sound and performance. The reason I picked those two is they seem to be the most popular.

......roger! Are decibles important or just the sound in general? Reason for asking, the SUPERTRAPP SE's net the best performance, but loud they are not....pleasant? yes. Someone else will have to chime in on the noise level of the others.
I recently picked up an 07 SG and had an opportunity to hear 4 bikes side by side with different pipes.
I chose the V&H Classics myself. Compared to the others (that included SE's and V&H ovals) they had the nicest rumble and excellent acoustic presence. They really roar when twistin on the throttle, but drop down to a nice pur at highways speeds so you don't have to scream to talk with a passenger.
A buddy has the Rush slipons on his Street Bob, and while they do sound nice...the V&H Classics have a deeper, warmer, and moreimpressive tone to them, in my opinion.

If u want that DEEP sound then RUSH is the answer... I had them on my 07 Street Glide. They have the deepest tone that I've heard inclucing the V&H.. I had the Rush slip ons with changeable tips and 2 in baffle... Sounded great, just not loud enough, so I got Rineharts....
