Bought a used dual beam headlight from a new road glide owner.
looking for a wiring harness conversion to put it on my 01 Ultra.
Anyone know of any such item, assuming it will fit.....
HD does make a harness. H.D. part number - 73272-11 It's on the 20% sites for around $85. I was looking for one also. I believe the HD one has a diode so you can run high and low beam together. The 14 and newer harness doesn't. The computer controls it. I've read you have to get a digital tech and activate that feature on the new bikes. I was given (free) a Harley dual halogen, I bought a $25 wiring harness that allows me to run 2 - h9 lamps. (Stock is h11 low beam, h9 high beam) I added a radio shack 6 amp diode so I can run high and low beams at the same time. I have about $30 into that setup.
Edit: if you have spot lights and make both headlights run at the same time, plus do the wiring harness mod to allow spots on with high beams, you will overload the system and start blowing fuses. Possibly draw enough to damage the high low beam switch too. Just food for thought. If you do it that way run a direct circuit from the battery for the spots and install a relay to control them.

Did it come with the mounting ring also? If not, you will have to purchase that as well. I installed a dual halogen from a '14 street glide in my 08. I was given the stock '14 harness and all I had to do was put a 3 prong plug on the end. Can only run high or low though, not high and low at the same time. I had to purchase the mounting ring separate.
