hi have 1996 flhrpi need to replace stator went to hd dealer [couldn't find on net] said I don't need 50 amp stator I don't have all the police lights and siren and other parts told me they have one that is 30 amp? they weren't sure of the output none of them seemed to know there computor said the lower amp was a replacement will a stator from a 1997 flhti that is a 38 amp work going round and round and getting nowhere help :icon
You need pn: 29970-88C It's a 32 AMP stator.
I do recommend you either get a HD OEM part or purchase one from Cycle Electric who has a great reputation and makes parts that typically exceed OEM specs.
Don't buy some cheap junk off ebay... even with a lifetime warranty or whatever. You'll just end up doing the job twice.
